Called To Serve

Edward Jeffs Brandt, 70, Hillcrest 2nd Ward, Sandy, Utah Hillcrest Stake, called as president of the Columbus Ohio Temple, succeeding President Richard N. Christensen. President Brandt's wife, Carol Bartschi Brandt, will serve as temple matron. Serving as a stake president's counselor, he has previously served as bishop, bishop counselors, high priests group leader and gospel doctrine teacher. Director of the Church Correlation Department, he was born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Einar Erik and Alice Jeffs Brandt.
Sister Brandt serves as a visiting teaching supervisor and as an ordinance worker in the Draper Utah Temple. She has served as a ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women's president and gospel doctrine teacher. She was born in Georgetown, Idaho, to George Edgar and Berniece Bacon Bartshi.
