We were able to participate in the 175th Anniversary of the Dedication of the Kirtland Temple. There were two meetings held for the members of the Church—at 7 a.m. and another at 6 p.m. Both programs were outlined exactly the same. Brother Karl Anderson who is a specialist in historical Kirtland spoke giving an account of the historical proceedings of the first dedication, followed by Darwin D. Sorensen, President of the Cleveland Ohio Mission, who spoke on the keys restored by Moses for the gathering of Israel. Next Michael Haymond, President of the Kirtland Ohio Stake spoke on the restoration of the keys of the Abrahamic Covenant by Elias [Noah]; then Edward J. Brandt spoke on the keys for the sealing of families by Elijah. The closing speaker was Elder Walter C. Selden of the Area 70 who tied all of the other remarks together.
